Chicken Coop For Sale If you considering buying a chicken coop – good for you! You decided to start raising your own chickens and produce organically healthy eggs and meet for you and your family. However I would strongly advise you to reconsider “buying” a chicken coop you find for sale.

Why? – Well, because buying a chicken coop is not as easy as you think and is prone to error. Here are a few of the big no-no’s when new chicken enthusiast take the plunge and buy a coop:

No-no 1. Buying a tool shed:

Don’t make the mistake of buying a tool shed and using it as a coop, it’s not built for that, and your chickens will feel uncomfortable; this will result in lower egg production. Plus a tool shed is not setup to clean the mess that chickens will leave behind; a tool shed is a disaster.

No-no 2. Buying Second Hand:

Unless you do your due diligence I would recommend against this approach. Buying pre-used chicken coops can have some hidden dangers such as faulty construction, a poor state of repair, possible chicken illness contamination, and not setup for convenient use and cleaning.

No-no 3. Buying New Pre-made Chicken Coops:

There are vendors out there that make excellent coops but the problem with this is that they can be expensive. Also be aware that lower ethical vendors may use cheaper materials to increase the bottom line. The last thing you want is a flimsy chicken coop.

More than likely, if you do get roped into buying a “pre-made” coop you’ll find out anyway that it comes in parts that will need to be assembled. This is fine, just be ready to pay the high cost of inflated materials.

So Instead of Looking for Chicken coops for sale, look for Chicken coop Designs.

If you get the plans to a chicken coop design and build your own, you remove all the risk, significantly lower your cost, free yourself from low quality materials and end up with a completed chicken coop that you can be proud to call your own.

Furthermore, your chicken coop will be correctly fitted for your property and the amount of chickens you want to raise. Think about it, why be constrained by a premade chicken coop structure if it’s going to be a clumsy fit in your backyard.

Think convenience: You can build a chicken coop that will save you tons of effort and time by building it according to how you’re going to use it. For example you’ll have access doors to the nesting boxes within arm’s length to easily grab the eggs and grated floors for easy cleaning.

More importantly your chickens will be more comfortable in a well developed coop; less stressed and as a result will produce more eggs.

With a the right plans, a few tools, and your own set of building materials you can make your chicken coop project a fun family event that can be completed in one weekend. Hey why not, find out how easy it can be to get an amazing chicken coop.
